Hello!

I have been wondering about what I should write today and I decided to sort of...mix it up! I decided I share with you some of the interesting differences I have noticed in the past few weeks between Canada and the U.K. But first, I thought I should share some news...take it as you will.

I told my mom a few weeks ago that I would not be returning back to Canada for Christmas this year. It was hard to tell her, but I knew I should before it got to close to Christmas.

Fortunately, there are some fab people that live in England - surprisingly enough, my cousin Amanda seems to know every single one of them! One of these fab people, Ruth and her family, have invited me to spend Christmas with them. I am very thankful for the hospitality and welcoming that Amanda's friends have shown me thus far.

Now for the fun part - Canada vs. UK

- Diapers are Nappies
- When someone asks "Are you okay?", it means "How are you"
- Everyone says "Hiya"
- Shopping carts are trolleys
- Flat is an apartment
- Bloke is slang for man
- Far too many road signs with the word "hump" on them
- Buses come ALL the time...I have very rarely checked the schedule, just go out and one is usually waiting for me!

...there are definitely more, but I am tired and those are the ones that came to mind.

I have work tomorrow...yay! Back to Wheatley Park I go (which is great)...to teach Maths (that's right, I said Maths...not Math...Maths. Plural). May the force be with me while I try and teach Math....s.

Off to bed soon, as work at Wheatley Park means an early day and long bus ride for me! Good night all!

Much love! xo
