One Month In!

Can you believe it!? I have been here in England for 1 month! It feels like I have been over here for much longer than that. I think that is mostly due to my comfort level and perhaps the traveling around I have been able to do so far as well.

Since my lovely trip to London on Friday, I have mostly been around Oxford for the rest of the weekend. I spent Saturday trying to sort out a proper mobile plan for myself. I have been on Pay As You Go since I've been here, which is a good deal. Now that I have my banking sorted, I can get on a proper plan. However, seems to be more difficult than that I guess. Wish me luck this week as I can hopefully get it sorted out.

My quest for the last week or so has been to find a decent, used bike. This quest has been a bit of a challenge. As I emailed people inquiring about their bikes, they were sold! I couldn't seem to catch a break. I finally found a mountain bike for myself. It's used, and shows some signs of usual wear and tear, but I got it for a bargain price and since its a mountain bike, I can also take it on some adventures on the outskirts of Oxford.

After conquering that quest, I was invited to spend the beautiful afternoon with my lovely adopted cousins! Catherine and I took the babies for a walk into Wallingford, fed some ducks and played at a park near their house. I learned a valuable lesson also, while feeding the ducks...never, EVER place your Blackberry near a little boy throwing bread into the water...it was a close call, and lesson was learned!

Now, for those of you who know anything about me, you will know how happy this discovery made me - I found ESPN America while flipping through Catherine's TV last night...and what was on ESPN American you ask? HOCKEY!! NHL HOCKEY. It was like a void in my heart had been filled after getting through the summer months, pre-season and then season openers! It was truly an amazing discovery....she may never be able to get rid of me now!

Much love! xo
